Drop the Bomb - posted by WhoopA on December 30, 2003 2:34AM
Googlebomb, that is. By the way, have you played EarthBound yet?

Just helping out this website I visit, that's all. Probably the single greatest EarthBound fansite on the 'Net. Games like EarthBound are what made me what I am today.

Okay, I'll stop now...

Transcend demo released! - posted by WhoopA on December 28, 2003 7:44AM
You heard that right. The 50% demo is complete and ready for download - Check it out, yo.

Changes to the Artwork section - posted by WhoopA on December 24, 2003 7:08AM
Modified the Artwork section. I know the mantra is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" but this gives me a little more flexibility when updating - I can just hit the database instead of fumbling with the proper HTML to display the pictures. Yay for PHP. Pictures display on their own separate page and each page has descriptions, notes and whatnot to go with it now. Just click the thumbnail to see the full view with tasty descriptions, or hold your mouse over it to view its name and size.

We've got it all - posted by WhoopA on October 26, 2003 1:58PM
Yes, this is true. My parody of UHF, appropriately titled Starmen.Net is now up in the Musings.

New Artwork! - posted by WhoopA on October 21, 2003 2:23PM
Yes, that's right. A little piece in an alternate reality where Sakura actually LOST to The Power! I figure, the cards smart enough to teach these girls - and anyone else - not to mess with the awesome power of the Clow Cards. And what better way to do it than leaving them trapped in the park? Check it out here.

I'm BAAAAAAACK! - posted by WhoopA on October 1, 2003 8:07PM
Yes, that's right - after six long months, The WhoopA Network has returned! Take a look at what's new, what's not and why I still haven't fixed anything =P

Anyway, I'm missing two months of blog posts becaus I forgot to regularly back up my blog entries file. Oh well, I guess... Transcend has been updated, and the demo has been COMPLETELY revamped and restructured. It's almost like it isn't the same game anymore. Only catch? The demo is a BIT on the large side. No more 500K demo...

In any case, come in and enjoy. Still full of fun, it's the one - the only - WhoopA Network.

New RM2k tuorial - posted by WhoopA on February 11, 2003 5:53AM
Well, more of an RM2k reference really. Check out Under the Hood.

Oopsie! - posted by WhoopA on January 24, 2003 4:57PM
Um, does the term "ugly bug in Transcend" mean anything to you? New version uploaded.

Transcend: Descent Into Darkness - posted by WhoopA on December 19, 2002 5:32PM
...is going to be the full name of the final version of Transcend. I am literally going through EVERY map of the game, redoing the graphics and fixing bugs along the way. It's shaping up to be bloody awesome. I'll put up some screenshots in a few days.

BOTVGH LIVES! - posted by WhoopA on December 13, 2002 11:59PM
Guess what I ran into? Apparently the Battle of the Videogame Heroes found a new home! I almost shit my pants when I saw that.

Almost.

I've got a blog... - posted by WhoopA on November 27, 2002 2:26PM
...which probably means I should start using it like one, eh? Anyway - this is just rumor now, I can't confirm it - Square and Enix are merging. The two largest RPG creating companies (Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior, baby) have joined forces... and that means a lot higher chance of a true sequel to Chrono Trigger. Chrono Cross was good, but it lacks that special something that was there when Yuji Horii and Hironobu Sakaguchi brought to the table together. Here's hoping.

Heinous... - posted by WhoopA on November 20, 2002 4:30PM
And now, there's software that spread like a worm - but requires you agree to install the software the first. You essentially give it permission to spread... check out this article on Slashdot for more information.

Minor updates here and there - posted by WhoopA on October 24, 2002 5:49AM
Mainly, I did a little asthetical upgrade to PanepOnline - by that I mean doubling the graphical resolution. Also corrected a minor "feature" that Justice pointed out to me - when new blocks are added to the stack from the bottom, it checks the blocks already in the stack so you don't get freebie matches. Of course it'll still happen on occasion but with nowhere near the frequency it used to. The size of the ZIP has increased just a wee bit from the graphical tweaking... but you can handle that, right?

Nothing much - posted by WhoopA on October 20, 2002 5:20AM
Just corrected a *tiny* problem with the Quote of the Day (no, I don't have over 200 quotes - just 23) and added Justice's profile to the About page. Also did some link weeding. Other than that, life as usual...

Oh yeah! I also wrote in the history browse code in the blog! Just because I could, ya know. I also changed some of the internals on the script. Not that it's easy to notice, although I can change the date format at will and don't have to go change every post in the blog.

Updates! - posted by WhoopA on October 18, 2002 6:22AM
Updated the About page a little bit (about freaking time too - that thing still said I was 19 when my birthday was two months ago =/) and gave PanepOnline its own section. I also added a new quote of the day... it might be a while before you see it though ^_^

Maybe not... - posted by WhoopA on October 11, 2002 8:20AM
It might not be "as good as I can get it" at this point in time, but it's still pretty damned good. Go get PanepOnline.

Not much new - posted by WhoopA on October 10, 2002 6:44AM
Just like the title says. I'm making progress on PanepOnline, and I've got the engine mostly down and a rudimentary scoring system going. I'm trying to test the hell out of the thing. Lucky I have some help. Until I'm confident that it's as good as I can get it though, I'm not going to post a link to the download or make a download page for it. So there =P

A few things I forgot to mention... - posted by WhoopA on October 2, 2002 7:47AM
Just made a few updates to the site. I took down A Year Erased because, well, I just don't like where it sits right now. Fact is, I never really have and I plan on rewriting that entire first chapter. I uploaded a very short bit for Jungle of Glass and Steel the story of my Werewolf character Rick. And, of course, I removed the extraneous text from the main index page. Now that my blog is running (though not fully tested =/) I really don't need it anymore. I still have that nifty quote of the day at the bottom of the page though.

Random post of the day - posted by WhoopA on October 2, 2002 6:44AM
Yes, I do stay up this late. =/ And yes, this is a random weblog post. Because I have nothing better to do at this time of the night. I'm reorganizing portions of Transcend (to make it longer and to give it better flow). Your random link: RPG World. I know, it's old news, but the comic still kicks ass and takes names. But after Eikre blocked that sword blade with the palm of his hand - with no protection - all I can say is, "that had to hurt." Now why did I think to Dragon Warrior VII all of a sudden? Probably because of Melvin's quote after you heal him in battle: "Power veritably fills every pore of my body! I'm ready to kicketh ass and taketh names!" I swear, I cracked up laughing when I saw that.

I'm Baaaaack! - posted by WhoopA on October 1, 2002 2:06AM
Arrgh. The phone lines were down for almost a week in my area. You have no idea how that makes me feel... =/ But at least I got Kingdom Hearts, and it's completely justified for one reason: Sephiroth. I managed to take off one of his FIVE health bars!
